Go Cadel!

Although Cadel hasn't pulled off the Tour, the Giro or the Vuelta he won the right to wear the rainbow colours of the road world champion in Mendrisio, Switzerland this morning. Click on the pic for a youtube video.

Update: US coverage of Cadel's win here.

Masi Mini-Velo

Tim at Masi Bicycles uploaded this pic. Apparently the Mini-Velo has 20" wheels and built to compete with folding bikes, even though it doesn't fold. "Basically, they are designed to be great commuting bikes for a world with limited space- great for taking on and off a train/ subway and into offices or homes with little space. They ride more like a traditional road bike than most folding bikes and they are usually much lighter too."

El Magic Moment

There hasn't been much to get excited about over the past few years if you're a Bulldog's supporter. But last night Hazem El Masri became the greatest point scorer in rugby league history. Adrian Proszenko in The Sun-Herald: "That a footballer can be a champion on the field for more than a decade without once carrying on like a goose off it. And that, sometimes, nice guys finish first." Awesome.

Onward to 2010

I really thought we'd loose. Japan was under pressure to win at home and they really did outplay the Socceroos. But our boys held on for a nil all draw. Schwarzer, once again, more than earned his keep.

Well, it was very hot and very humid. Dooza ran the aircon 24/7. The Valley is sick. Slideshow here.

New toy

Sorry no updates for a while ... but a new year and a new toy. This is a Masi Speciale Fixed, my new commuter bike. Currently set up as a singlespeed 'cause I've never ridden fixed before. I should HTFU. More pics here
